OUR HISTORY
Henry Clark established Clark’s Barbershop in 1962, creating more than just a place for quality haircuts—it became a community hub known for its excellent service, affordable prices, and legendary checker games. Customers would not only come for a fresh cut but also spend hours playing checkers and socializing. Henry was deeply dedicated to his barbershop, walking to and from work every day and ensuring it ran like clockwork. Fittingly, he spent the last day of his life walking to the very shop he built.
After Henry’s untimely passing, his son Vincent Clark felt more compelled than ever to carry on his father’s legacy. Having worked alongside Henry since 1981, the barbershop was just as much his as it was his father’s, and he remained committed to upholding its tradition and values.
The barbershop had always been the family business. Chris Clark, Vincent’s youngest son, grew up in the barbershop. He observed his father and grandfather and learned early on the value of hard work and how to run a business. As soon as he was old enough he was determine to learn everything there was to know about cutting hair and running a successful and lasting business. He knew that keeping the legacy alive would one day be his responsibility and wanted nothing more than to make the man who started it all very proud.
